Knee Lever Die Casting Machine With Electrical Worm Gear Drive

Mannesman Demag has integrated an electrical worm drive in a knee lever die casting machine with a locking force of 1,250 kN. It was exhibited in the Salzuflen KMO exhibition. In contrast to the basic version the efficiency of the hydraulic pump has been increased, so that high speed is possible along with the quick switching permanent valves, a quick reacting hydraulic pump and a 25 D-worm.
