Powermax45? plasma cutting and gouging system introduced by Hypertherm is claimed to be the world?s smallest and most portable half-inch plasma system. Designed for both handheld and mechanised applications, the compact and light machine weighing only 17 kg provides unmatched portability, increased productivity and reliability at a low operating cost. This single gas system (air or nitrogen) can cut up to 19 mm thick material and has a severance capability of 25 mm. It is ideal for cutting and gouging metal in many industries such as HVAC duct cutting, truck and trailer fabrication, and facility and equipment maintenance of all types, including manufacturing and agricultural. Compared to traditional cutting options like oxyfuel, the Powermax45 cuts up to three times faster, boasts a superior cut quality, and provides a greater output at a lower operating cost. Unlike oxyfuel, the plasma system needs no flammable gases to regulate, making it safer and easier to use. It also requires no pre-heating, resulting in improved uptime.
