Norlok clinching machines are used to join two sheet metals as thick as 3 mm and as thin as 0.25 mm by using die and punch where mushroom type lock button is formed from the base metals. It produces virtually a leak proof joint without fumes, sparks or spot welding. The hassles of predrilled holes and riveting are all eliminated in Norlok clinching operation. The tooling clamps the material between the die and punch. The punch pushes the material into the die, which opens and forms a mushroom lock without any damage to material. The punch strips out and the lock remains. It can fasten different materials and thicknesses together. The machine is air powered and requires no electrical hook ups. It comes in stand alone and portable models. Custom design machines are also offered based on application needs.
