CNC Multi-Station Rotary Honing Machines

Brakes India offers a CNC Multi-Station Rotary Honing Machine. It performs simultaneously rough honing, finish honing and super finish honing operations on cast iron hydraulic cylinders and other auto-components, through CNC controlled oscillating slides carrying honing spindles with built-in hydraulic tool expansion mechanism. The CNC control system (Fanuc) is fully customised to provide operator-friendly screens and parameter list required for programming honing operation. With this, the deficiencies due to hydraulic system used on convention machines, are eliminated and all the benefits of CNC system viz., quick and precise setting, flexibility, controlled end position, reduced power, space and maintenance, easy diagnosis etc., are provided. The slides carrying the honing spindles are mounted on LM guides and precision ball screw/ nut assemblies are used. The oscillating speeds can go up to 18m/min and the spindle speeds are adjustable between 60 to 600 rpm. Components with bore size ranging between 15 to 50mm can easily be accommodated on this machine. The oscillating honing slide stroke is 400 mm maximum. The machine makes use of precision four stations, non-lift type rotary table (with hirth coupling) where in the dial plate diameter can be 800mm max. The machine is completely modular in construction and offered as single station or multiple station machines.
