Dual Column Saw With Nc Controls

The C-650 NC dual column production saw for unattended sawing of big stock can cut both ferrous and non-ferrous materials up to 26" in diameter or squares to 25" using a 2" blade powered by a 10-HP drive motor with infinitely variable band speeds from 40to 360 fpm. Accuracy of the cut is ?0.002" per inch of work height, and the blade is canted six degrees for more effective cutting of structurals and tubing. The NC system allows programming of as many as 99 jobs with job number, number of cuts and length of sawed part. Single stroke indexing is up to 20" with extended indexing to 6"available as an option. Multiple indexing with kerf compensation to 999" is standard. For easier loading of new stock, the C-650 NC has a "load prep" feature that simultaneously opens the vises and raises the head, clearing the machine for a new workpiece. The saw blade is guided by hydraulically actuated, zero clearance carbide inserts, and there is a hydraulically powered guide arm that automatically adjusts the guides for the width of the material being cut. A servo-controlled blade feed pressure system keeps the blade cutting at optimum feed rates. Other standard features for improved productivity include powered chip conveyors and variable vise pressure control. Powered infeed/outfeed conveyors and a band twist monitor are also available as options.
