W Sreekant Brothers offers simplex mallets from Erwin Halder KG, Germany .The housing is made of different materials depending on the application, ie, light alloy housing for lighter and fine jobs and cast iron housing for medium jobs and heavier jobs. They come with wooden handle. There are nearly 7 types of inserts, the material of which are as: nylon, superplastick (2 colours), soft silver, composite rubber, TPE Mid, TPE soft. The sizes are with reference to the diameter of the inserts ie, inserts dia right from 30 mm to 80 mm. The inserts are basically to avoid any damage to the components. A higher model to this is Simplex "C" mallet, where the housing is of reinforced cast iron housing and handle is of fibreglass that will absorb the shock. In this, besides the inserts mentioned above, one could also use copper inserts for harder metals. The application areas for both: for delicate work pieces (light alloy HSG.), automobile assembly and repair, dent re moval, car bodywork, sheet metal working, mould construction, foundries, assembly of sharp edged work pieces, etc.
