This machine is ideal for drilling multiple holes and tapping for small components. The number of spindles for the machine will be according to the number of holes to be drilled as per the component requirement. The machine has two stations, one for drilling operation and the second for tapping operation. Tapping operation will be of pitch controlled type. Different tapping sizes in one component, is possible. Floating type tap holders are used for tap. Drilling station is hydraulically operated. Rapid feed-feed-rapid return cycle is used for drilling operation. Operations at both stations will be carried out by single operator simultaneously, which results in increase in productivity.
