Deepak Engineering Company, ISO 9001: 2000 certified, is engaged in soft machining of automobile components and ball bearing races both on `labour charge' basis and also supplying these with its own material which is double vacuum degassed SAE 52100 steel. The solid steel bars and thick walled seamless steel tubes are sourced from the best available steel producers in India. The company has undertaken the machining of ball bearing races for Fag Precision (India) Ltd, and also converted thick walled seamless steel tubes of SAE 52100 into ball bearing races for customers like: SKF (Malaysia) Ltd; HMT Bearings Ltd; SKF Bearings (India) Ltd; and Anti-friction Bearings Corporation Ltd. It has also manufactured automobile components for Maruti, Telco, Mahindra & Mahindra and these are supplied in soft condition for subsequent processing by the co-associates. The soft turned ball bearings races are manufactured on latest equipment and strictly in accordance with the drawings and/or specifications of the customers. Also test certificates of the raw material used for the manufacturing of ball bearing races are provided.
- Hardness of the inner and outer rings shall be in accordance with ISO/ISI applicable standards
- Bearing races made from materials confirming to IS: 4398 – 1994 as per specifications for carbon-chromium steel
- Boundary dimensions of ball bearing races will be as per IS: 7461- 1980 (1st Revision)
- Tolerances shall be maintained as per IS: 7460 – 1974
- The races shall be free from defects of workmanship, which may affect their serviceability
- Outer surface, bore and the sides of the races shall be within the maximum values of surface roughness in accordance with IS: 3073 – 197l and chamfer dimensions be maintained as per ISO 355: 1977
