Hydraulic expanding holding devices have opened new means to handle the most intricate clamping situations thoughtfully. On one hand these reduce cost and improve quality of machining and inspection, while on the other hand, these solve the most complicated clamping problems.

There is no damage to the clamping surface, though the clamping force is a maximum of 5kg/mm2. Furthermore, the concentric holding design innate property provides minimum TIR ? under 5 microns. Simple actuation reduces mounting and dismounting.

Hydraulic expanding holding devices have no loose components (collects or liner) making pressure coolant applications on chucks direct and efficient. Flexibility in design and application of hydraulically controlled holding devices lies in the fact that they can be adopted to perform any machining operation like finish turning, grinding, boring, drilling, gear cutting, gear finishing, etc. Their design can be extended to clamp on blind bores. Splinted bores could be located on the major diameter, minor diameter of pitch-line diameter.?

Hydraulic expanding arbors and chucks could be applied successfully in inspection of components accurately. Many inspection requirements are possible by mechanical means could be solved by using hydraulic devices. The greatest advantages of these devices are that these don?t involve any additional skill and require low maintenance cost.?
