BAND SAW BLADES, GROUND TEETH

JK Files & Tools offers a new variation of Powerband bi-metal ground saw blades from The L S Starrett Company. This new blade, M-42, features a precision ground, positive rake tooth form with extra sharp teeth and smooth gullets. This combination produces greatly enhanced cutting performance by delivering aggressive tooth penetration and a much smoother chip flow, than regular milled-teeth blades that do not have Bearcat-shaped ground teeth. These blades are ideal for demanding application in the cutting of exotic alloys, tool steel and stainless steel, outperforming matrix-type blades. Featuring an M-42 high-speed edge containing 8% cobalt and a tooth hardness range of RC67-69, these blades are offered in a broad selection of pitch configurations, ranging from 1-2 to 14-18 (teeth/inch), for cutting a wide range of material thickness. The blades are available in coil lengths of 100", 150" and 250" (30, 46 and 76 m), as well as in convenient, ready-to-use welded lengths.
