Ploughshare Mixer

TRAXIT Ploughshare Mixer is a very versatile mixer and can be used for mixing of materials in various phase interactions like : Solid – Solid, Solid – Liquid, Solid – Gaseous etc. With proper additional features it can be used as an Effective Drier and Reactor. It consists of a horizontal circular cylindrical container and properly designed shaft running along the central axis of the container, rotates at an appropriate speed. At various intervals Plough shaped mixing elements are mounted on this shaft. The speed of the mixing element is such that material being processed is given enough kinetic energy to keep it in a state of suspension thereby creating a Mechanical Fluid Bed and also effecting individualization of the particles in the product. As a result of the above, there is an increase in specific area and hence better interaction between the various components going into forming the mixture. In case of liquid additives the absorption is rapid and uniform, resulting in a very Homogenous Mix. In addition to the plough shaped mixing elements, the mixer is provided with independently driven choppers which enter the container along the radius. These choppers enhance the mixing effect and also tend to break any agglomerates formed during the mixing process especially when the liquid additives are incorporated. It is provided with standard appurtenances for feeding and discharging the products to be processed. Special liquid feed device is provided which enables feeding of the liquid component while the mixer is in operation. This mixer has successfully tailored this mixer to meet the requirements of incorporating extremely small quantities of biochemical components into heterogeneous organic waste, which is the starting point of converting organic waste into organic fertilizer. This mixer can be supplied in various materials of construction depending on the application.
