Squirrel Cage Induction Motor

Power Motors offers squirrel cage induction motors manufactured using superior design and higher quality of materials. These are compact and reliable and suitable for both industrial and commercial applications. Ranges: single phase ? 0.09 kW (0.125 HP) to 2.2 kW (3 HP); speed ? 1000/1500/3000 RPM; three phase ? 0.09 kW (0.125 HP) to 7.5 kW (10 HP); speed ? 750/1000/1500/3000 RPM. These motors are available in various types of construction such as foot mounting (B3) flange mounting (B5) and face mounting (B14). Voltage and frequency: the motors are standard designed for 415 V, 50 Hz, 3-phase AC supply and 240 V, 50 Hz, single phase AC supply. Other voltage and frequency versions are available on request. The motor frames and end shields are made from high grade cast iron for superior strength and corrosion resistance. Stators and insulation: core is made up of dynamo grade low loss silicon steel laminations. Winding consists of polyester base copper wire to give high conductivity and impregnation is done to attain high dielectric properties. All motors are of class B insulation. The terminal boxes are rotatable in 4 x 90? increments permitting the cable entry from any direction. Rotor and shaft assembly: motors are provided with high pressure aluminium die cast rotors. The whole assembly is dynamically balanced to ensure quiet and vibration free operation. Standard motors are fitted with high quality double side sealed, ball bearings with pre-packed lubricants. Cooling system: the external cooling fan is of plastic and the fan cowl of corrosion protected sheet steel. Testing: each motor undergoes a full program of tests during manufacture and prior to despatch as per Indian standards specifications.
