DC Drives

Kulcon Automation offers DC-DRIVES. These are 3-phase full wave 6 pulse thryristorised drives for controlling speed-torque of DC motors by varying armature voltage in stepless mode. These units are operating in single quadrant operation (can be operated in four quadrant operation with additional system attachment on demand). Features: the controlled rectifier for variable armature voltage is derived from 3-phase full controlled rectification using three thyristor modules; all three power modules are mounted on a common heatsink, which is non-live; in-built motor field supply rectifier of 3 A-220 V DC; provision for armature voltage feedback or Tacho feedback; firing pulse blocking facility; adjustable current limit through inbuilt current feedback through current transformer; multi-pulse firing; adjustable acceleration and deceleration time setting; in-built phase sequence monitoring and phase loss tripping; and range available from 20 A to 480 A capacity. Application: textile mills; sugar industry; paper mills; steel rotting and wire rod mills; printing machines; and rubber, cable industry. Features: bridge configuration - 3-phase full wave, full controlled thyristor bridge; type of control - PI type speed regulator in cascade with PI type current regulator; type of feedback - for speed, tacho generator feedback or armature voltage feed back; acceleration/deceleration time - adjustable from 3 to 60 seconds; speed reference - ?10 V through externally connected potentiometers; phase loss or phase sequence reversal output - 1 change over contact; electronic controls - max and min firing angle adjustment; max speed setting; acceleration and deceleration time setting; speed stability adjustment; and current stability adjustment.
