Mobile Filter Unit To Capture Fumes

Capturing fumes as they are produced means that the air in a workshop can be kept clean and fresh. This can easily be achieved by using a fully mobile fume extractor known as the filtercart, now available from Nederman. The filtercart is supplied ready for use complete with built-in filter unit, requiring only to be plugged into the nearest power supply point. 110 and 240 volt versions are available. It is easily moved between different workplaces. A powerful fan unit, a high efficiency filter cartridge and a 2 or 3 metre long fume extractor with built-in spotlight, are all mounted on a robust chassis on castor wheels. The simple yet robust design offers high operational reliability. The unit provides an economic and flexible solution to the problem of providing fume extraction during temporary welding operations. It is particularly suited to light engineering and repair shops, such as auto repair shops. Also, general welding and fabrication of a wide range of materials, typically mild steel, stainless steel, etc. The filtercart can be equipped with three different filtration requirements. There is a basic cellulose filter, a glass fiber micro filter to provide a higher degree of separation and two stage gas filter. The gas filters have been developed to filter most types of gases that arise when welding. The unique two stage method combining both chemical and physical absorption means that No 1, No 2, and No 3 gases are filtered. To obtain the high degree of gas filtration and maintain high air flow, the filters are manufactured to contain 8 kg of gas absorption medium. They have particulate filters providing the same high degree of separation as the micro filter. Maintenance of the filtercart is minimal, being limited to the replacement of the filter cartridge when required. The design of the filter means that this process is clean, simple and dust free.
