Envirodyne Energy Systems Pvt Ltd has designed Solar Pumps, operating on solar energy. Most of the rural areas are facing the load shedding problem of electricity. Uncertainty in the electricity supply, mostly affect agriculture. Solar pump provides the best solution to irrigate the fields. A solar pump consists of a PV array, motor, pump, optional power conditioning equipment and batteries. Two of the most economical applications of PV solar pumps are for irrigation and drinking water supply, which can replace the DG sets at farms.

- Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) feature ensures running of the pump at maximum efficiency all the time
- The motor input power is instantaneously adjusted by varying the operating frequency to match the maximum output power available from the solar PV panels at different sun intensities
- Automatic start and shut off – starts automatically in morning time when sufficient sun intensity is available, stops automatically in evening in case of low sun intensity
- Also, starts and stops automatically during cloud passing
- Soft start to control in-rush current, which prevents damage to the motor
- In-built protection against phase imbalance
- Dry run protection – in case of non-availability of water in the well, pump automatically stops, which prevents the dry running and hence, damage of the pump
- It also avoids the motor burning due to insufficient cooling
- Output short circuit protection
- Dust proof – can be used for outdoor application
- Works satisfactorily up to 55°C ambient
- Wide voltage fluctuation in case of single phase 50 Hz AC input – operating voltage range 100 -270 V
- It will not restart automatically in case of faults like dry run, phase imbalance, output short circuit, unless attended
