Hydro-Pneumatic Suspensions

'Hydro-pneumatic Suspension' reduces shock loads on frame and body structure, offers improved operator's comfort, increases tyre life and eliminates heavy leaf springs. It consists of two major parts. A Stationary Cylinder secured to the truck frame and piston tube secured to the spindle. The Hydro-pneumatic Suspension functions both as spring and as damper for quick settling of vibrations of the vehicle during riding on rough roads. These suspensions are filled with oil and nitrogen gas. The compression of Nitrogen gas inside the suspension cylinder provides spring effect, whereas the controlled flow of oil through orifice from rod cavity to annular cavity between rod and barrel provides damping effect. Both these effects assure high speed safe running of the machine with very high level of operator’s comfort. As in case of any Hydraulic Cylinders, Suspensions are also provided with seals, wear rings dust seals for effective operation. These suspension require normal care during handling.
