Double Diaphragm Pumps

Wilden manufactures a complete line of air-operated double diaphragm pumps. In this type of pumps, compressed air is applied directly to the liquid column separated by elastomer diaphragms. The advantages are: easily handles abrasives/viscous slurries with high solid content; ability to run dry without damage; requires no pressure relief or by-pass valve; explosion resistant; completely submersible; no shaft seals or gland packings of any kind; and easy and low maintenance. The company offers a range of process pumps for all food processing applications. The pumps comply with FDA standards. All food contact parts are of SS 316 and all elastomers are FDA approved Saniflex. These models are ideal for sauces, purees, jams, tomato paste, and other food products that are thick, abrasive, or have a sensitive texture that requires gentle pumping action. The Wilden line of food processing pumps use a gentle pushing action: there are no rotors, lobes, or gears to tear or mash delicate products.
