Ultra Polymers offers PVC heat shrinkable lay-flat tubings. Heat shrinkable sleeving method of providing insulation is the latest modern technology and is superior to conventional methods like taping, painting, etc. The product is available in50-metre rolls, in thickness 160 to 180 micron and a choice of colours: red, yellow, blue and black. Bus bar application: it provides perfect electrical insulation to be bus bars of low tension systems in control panels and switchgear systems. Properties: working temperature ? 90?C; dielectric strength ? 20 kV/mm; insulation resistance ? 20 x 1010 ohms at 500 V DC; tensile strength ? min 400 kg/cm; ultimate elongation ? min 11%; chemical resistance ? good; fire resistance ? self extinguishing; shrinking temperature ? 150?C- 170?C for 4-5 minutes; mechanical strength ? excellent; and heat dissipation ? excellent.
