Rotary Melting Furnaces

Oil/gas fired rotary furnaces are manufactured for making SG and all grades of iron. The efficient thermal transfer of heat as the furnaces rotate together with efficient recovery of heat from the waste gases or oxy/fuel burner system leads to fast melting rates and high metal temperatures if required in excess of 1550°C which are so important for the production of SG and other high duty irons. The combustion process uses oxy/fuel system, pure oxygen and fuel that makes it possible to achieve higher temperature. The most significant advantages of oxy/fuel is to reduce almost 50% in the melting time. The oxy/fuel combustion system can be with LPG/natural gas or oil. Another significant advantage is the reduction in exhaust gas volume that helps foundries meet their environmental obligations. Rotary furnaces of capacities 15 tonnes are presently offered. Larger capacities can also be offered on specific request.
