Finned Oil Immersion Heater, High Wattage

Navbharat Electrical Industries has developed a high wattage Finned Oil Immersion Heater, which is an electrical heater for online oil heating systems and heat packs. This heater is designed to give high wattage but at low watt surface area density, as oil heating usually is to be done at low watts surface area density. As cast fins provides high surface area to be in contact with oil and does not burn oil but heats up oil faster in small area, resulting in compact heating system. Fins are of special aluminium material giving best heat transfer. Using this specially designed immersion heater, one can accommodate three times wattage than standard heaters benefiting in reducing size of oil heating system to 1/3rd. So it lowers cost of fabrication as the size of the tank is reduced, with efficient heat transfer in turn saving electric power. Navbharat Electrical Industries started manufacturing industrial heating elements in India in 1950, at a time when these were being imported. The plastic industry was at the infant stage of its progress. In 1979 the company developed ceramic band heaters and cast heaters and started supplying these to OEM companies. Today its list of clientele runs like the who is who of plastic machine manufacturers. Recent addition to their arsenal is the production of shrimp faming heating system, spa heating system and aqua culture heating.
