Mixer/Stirrer Gearbox

Mangla Hoists offers a new type of gearbox which acts more effectively for stirring, mixing and agitating fluid or material. The gearbox has two uni-axis output shafts-a solid one at the centre and a hollow one on the outer side. These two shafts rotate at speeds with a ratio of 1:2, the central being faster, the outer one turning at half the speed of central shaft. The rotational directions are opposite to each other. This phenomenon helps the stiffing of material effectively, resulting in saving of power and time. Both the shafts are mounted on taper roller bearings which eliminates an additional requirement of bearing housing. The selection of bearings is such that they will take the necessary axial load of the fan or stirrer. Both the shafts are provided with a suitable key or flange for fixing the blades of the stirrer. These gearboxes are offered in a range of 0.25 to 50 HP with torque capacities up to 30,000 Nm. The ratios of feed are 3.17 minimum to 100,000 or more as maximum.
