K P Electronics offers TV test pattern generators. These are very useful while manufacturing, assembling or servicing black and white or colour TV sets. These generators can be used as signal source in absence of TV transmission, for fault finding, and making various types of adjustments such as AGC, vertical and horizontal oscillator frequency, frame, colour in case of colour TV, and picture dimensions, accurately. There are four models to suit the requirements of students, technicians and engineers. Model EP 382 is a battery operated (1.5 V, two pencil cells, 4 mA). It is handy for field servicing, single channel (Channel-4) and gives steady horizontal and vertical bars. Useful for students and technicians for signal tracing and linearity checks. Model EP 184 is a single channel (Channel-4), mains/battery (9 V, 10 mA) operated, cross-hatch generator. PAL B type as per CCIR specifications, it is handy and useful for TV technicians, students and engineers for field servicing. Model EP 285 is a multichannel, mains operated, black and white PAL B type generator. It gives four basic patterns, viz, horizontal lines, vertical lines, cross-hatch and dots. This is very useful for TV technicians and TV engineers for field as well as on bench servicing of black/white TV sets. Model EP 485 is a multichannel (2 to 12 channel), mains operated, colour, PAL B type generator. It gives 5 basic patterns, viz, white raster, horizontal line, vertical line, cross-hatch, dot patterns and 8 colour bars (TV transmission pattern) from left white, yellow, cyan, green, magenta, red, blue and black. This generator is very useful for TV technicians and engineers to carry out adjustments in colour TV sets. All these generators are also available in kit form for students and technicians to build by themselves.
