Elmech Industries, a manufacturer of a range of thermostats, is marketing an imported thermal overload protector (TOP). It is also a temperature sensing device, the operating temperature of which is fixed and can not be altered by the user and which protects the equipment from over heating by automatically opening an electric circuit and which resets only after substantial drop in temperature. The TOP is rated at 8 A 250 V AC, temperature range from 80°C to 160°C.
