Synthetic diamond powder is one of the hardest manmade abrasives used in variety of grinding and polishing applications. These powders are available in micron sizes as well as mesh size specifications. Micron powders are well-defined ranges of fine particles. The grade designation defines the micron size range of the abrasive particles. The shapes of the particles are blocky and hence it exhibits excellent cutting properties with consistency in size and stock removal rates. Synthetic diamond powders are available from 70 microns to 0.1 microns particle sizes. The standard packing available is 100 carat tin. The bigger packing is also available on request. Typical applications for these powders are for grinding and polishing/mirror finishing of tungsten carbide, ceramic, glass, polycrystalline tools and natural stones, wire drawing dies, wear parts, seal components, etc.
