Deublin of USA manufactures rotating unions for use in glass industry. In ovens where flat glass is conveyed to heat at a temperature to 2,000°F, Deublin unions can supply cold water for cooling the shaft of fans and mounting bearings. This usually occurs at a speed of 3,000 RPM. For drilling holes in glass, the unions transmit water through hollow spindles of the drills.
