HSI&8217;s 140000 Series step-per motor is designed for applications that require high torque and a low profile. This motor has a diameter of 5.5&8221; (140 mm) and is only 0.5&8221; (12.7 mm) thick. It has a peak holding torque of 65 oz-in and a 30-oz in running torque. The standard unit features a 2.0 degree step angle; finer step resolution can be achieved through micro-stepping. Its construction assures great stability with a maximum of 0.002&8221; wobble. Applications include rotation tables used for microelectronic wafer/ microchip fabrication, surveillance cameras, antennae and instrumentation that call for low profiles and precise rotary movements. The step accuracy of this motor is 0.2 degree non-cumulative. A hole as large as 0.5&8221; can be positioned in the centre to allow for special requirements (such as a vacuum tube). A variety of windings are available to accommodate specified voltage and speed/torque requirements.
