The new D-Sub plug Subcon-Plus from Phoenix Contact simplifies connection to field bus systems wherever two cables have to be connected to a bus interfaces typical problem with RS 485 multidrop systems. The new plug is based on a 9-position D-Sub plug and has two cable entries. The connection is made conveniently via integrated screw terminal blocks. The shielded housing also allows it to be used for increased EMC requirements and provides ample space for accommodating terminating resistors. The plugs are available in 9-position pin and socket versions for application in all common RS 485 interfaces.
