The Multimode Coupler is fabricated from graded index fibres with core diameters of 50 or 62.5 ìm. Standard multimode coupler is commonly used in short distance communications with LED sources operating at 1310 or 850 nm. This is a wavelength independent coupler over a broad range of wavelengths with uniform model power distribution launch condition. The other available models are large core optical coupler, single-mode tree/star couplers, single-mode single fusion 1 x 3 coupler, and single-mode 1 x 4 monolithic coupler.
Applications
FDDI; communication system; accessing network; local area network.
Features
Low insertion loss; high directivity; compact size; high stability and reliability.
