The feed material is crushed by means of rotating beaters with reversible heads by impact against the grinding walls. Due to reversible rotor with crushing ledges arranged on both sides, the wearing faces of the hammer heads can be completely used without reversing the hammers. A grate can be fitted, if necessary, at the outlet to obtain required product gradations.
