HWE compact proportional type flow meters are designed according to the special needs of clients, particularly for industries, power plants and irrigation, etc. Materials of construction are used according to customer requirements. For normal use the main meter is made of high grade cast iron and the shunt meter parts are made of brass, stainless steel or plastic, etc. The construction of the meter is very robust and sturdy to withstand the severe working conditions usually met in industry. Main features: meters can be made both for horizontal and vertical applications. Loss of head is very low, approx 2 metre wg. Meters for as low as 1 metre wg are also available. Every meter is tested in at the in-house hydraulic laboratory as per relevant IS before despatch. Flanges are drilled as per IS: 1538. Drilling according to other standards can also be done. The dial is dry type with mechanical transmission and straight reading on the dial. Meters are available in the following models: Type WWM – for industrial waste water, non aggressive in nature; type TWM – for use in tube well water having solids; type HWM – for hot water applications; type SWM – for soft water use; type CWM – for use in chemicals; type IWM – for irrigation; and type PPM – for petroleum products like HSD, lube oils, etc. Meters are available in 40 to 200 mm diameter. Meters for clear cold water and other applications are also available.
