IEC offers integral aluminium high fin tubes or in combination with liner tubes of other materials of customers' choice to cover many different applications in heat exchangers. As the fins are extruded from the base aluminium tube, they are problem-free and have exceptionally long life unlike other types. They are robust and one can even walk over them without any damage. Aluminium is the best material for fins due to its low ratio of thermal conductivity to density and withstands corrosion in most instances. In heat exchangers where heat is transferred between fluids with a large variation in heat transfer properties, these finned tubes help to make them more economical and compact. Steam air heaters, air cooled exchangers, gas coolers, oil coolers and air to air heat exchangers are a few examples to cite. Integral finned tribes can withstand very high thermal cycling without loosing their effectiveness for whole of their life time. IEC also offers complete heat exchangers utilising these tubes in addition to its standard Thermpipe heat exchangers.
