Cosmos Knee type CNC milling machine, Model CKM-1 is ideal for upgradation of shop capabilities. Machine table size of 1450 x 300 with larger saddle design practically covers the entire range of job size of approximate 200 kg weight, providing 700 x 380 x 140 mm of machining envelope. A 5 HP inverter driven spindle motor with ISO 40 spindle design provides adequate torque/power during machining over the entire speed range of 60 to 40,000 RPM. All the three axes are powered with high-grain Mitsubishi AC servos with C3 class ballscrews for precise positioning. Incorporation of PC-based CNC control makes programming and operation more user-friendly. In-built ready-to-use cycles for drilling, contouring, pocket-milling and repetitive multi-hole multi-positioning drilling cycles can be used without prior programming knowledge. In-built floppy-drive can load directly 3D CAD/CAM files hence there is no need for networking. This product has been tailored for those customers who want to outfit their shops with better machines.
